After completing five new songs for The Verve Pipe, Brian and the band are taking a holiday break. Rest assured, January will bring with it another new rock song. Also in the works is a new children’s conceptual album, complete with a graphic novel, slated for a July 2016 release. Brian describes the project as “The Wall, but for kids. Any kid who’s ever been bullied for being different will love the story.”

Brian is also still writing with his pal, Jeff Daniels, for their “Michigan themed album, tentatively called “The Lake Effect’. He’ll be joining Jeff at the Purple Rose Theatre for two shows highlighting this new project on New Year’s Day. (Those performances are sold out.)

Other Writing

Brian continues work on his memoir, now working on his third draft. The book, about “the rise, and fall, the subsequent rebirth”, will coincide with his speaking tour in 2016. Brian also wrote three short films, one of which is being filmed in June. Devon Gummersall (My So Called Life, Mad Men) is directing the first of the three, called “The Intruder”. Devon directed Brian’s first short film, a festival favorite, Bullies On Vacation.
